Raconteurs Storytelling and Fibe TV1 are teaming up to produce a TV show featuring true stories told live!
Fibe TV1 will be broadcasting our show Canada-wide. This is an amazing opportunity to bring storytelling to a wider audience!
We’re looking for 12 storytellers to tell 7-10 minute stories, plus 6 storytellers to share 3-5 minute stories, to be turned into 6 episodes to air on Fibe TV1!
This event has an open theme, so bring us your BEST STORIES! Stories must be TRUE and must be YOUR story (the story must have happened to the storyteller). Past stories can be found on our YouTube Channel.
The event will be taping on Tuesday, June 13th from 11 am – 5 PM and Wednesday, June 14th from 6 – 11 PM at The Tranzac Club. Exact times subject to change and final taping times will be announced June 1st.
The Tranzac Club features barrier-free entry and main-floor, gender-neutral washrooms
Audience tickets are available at www.universe.com/raconteurs-live-taping
Tickets for June 13th are $5
Tickets for June 14th are $12 in advance/ $15 at the door (if available).
To submit a story, please send a 3-5 paragraph pitch telling us your story (beginning, middle, end). Telling us the tone of the story (funny? poignant? bittersweet? sad?) and a bit about what the story means to you is great as well! We’re accepting pitches until June 1st! Pitches can be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org!
We are able to offer free story coaching to any storyteller selected for this event. All storytellers will receive an honorarium. Selected storytellers will meet with a producer before taping. Unfortunately, this event is not open to ACTRA members.
